Kazuya probably had the most muted reactions. I don't even think he latched on with the Smash fanbase as much as Terry did, despite being more popular than him and similarly being accompanied by a ton of great music. I wonder why? I feel like they're both very fun to play as and very frustrating...

Only played Punch Out NES, but I've always liked Great Tiger. He can use magic and teleport and even multiply himself if I remember correctly. But for Smash I'd go with either Doc Louis since he's the main sidekick (and the retired, out of shape ex-champion that still kicks your ass is a fun...

But it's not like the case history is particularly large, it's just Smash 4 to Ultimate. A character getting a costume in a game and the same character becoming a fighter in a subsrquent game are most likely two completely unrelated decisions.

Sure but I don't know, I wouldn't define any of those as radical shifts. I don't know what people expect from the next game, they'll probably tinker with saturation and detail again, change the look of the general effects and the lighting, add some embellishments and that's it. I'd like them to...

On the other hand TOTK recycles 90% of its graphics and content from BOTW and nobody minds. And even NSMBU has sold a ton (more than Wonder, and more than Tropical Freeze) and has been very successful critically so I think it's fair to say most people didn't mind its graphics all that much...

I can't see the appeal of Eevee as a Smash fighter past being a cute fox/doggo. I think it would be cool if its moves transform it into a different evolution, like down B is Flareon shooting a pillar of fire and grab/throws are Umbreon because dark types are mean, etc. etc., making Eevee...

Missingno is the coolest Pokémon I've ever had. Too bad when he reached LV. 74 he evolved into Pidgey LV. 2.

That's right, I don't really expect a character from Engage either. But from the game after that? Guaranteed. The timing always lines up for Fire Emblem. Xenoblade has less precedent but I can't see why it wouldn't work the same. Pokémon and even Mother while it was still getting games...

I loved Xenoblade 1, but I'm just one of those guys when It comes to Smash lol. Wouldn't even particularly miss Shulk if he was to get cut, to be honest. I'd like to say I'd miss Gaur Plain but Sakurai made his cat design that stage.
