Well, despite not having played it, I do not think Super Mario Sunshine is terrible...

...But, this may be terrible.

I can definitely see how Sunshine is the weakest in terms of polish though.

Miyamoto explained that they had to give the game less dev time than 64 despite the GameCube being more powerful. Still, it's a great among platformers.
