It gets trickier there, since Sakurai seems to be luigifying clones this time around.

Megaman can't roll into a ball, shoot a grappling beam, or shed is armor and become an entirely new character.

He can't be a clone. That would be like making Sophitia (from Soul Calibur) into a Link clone. That wouldn't make any sense.


Snake - Ocelot? I don't know much about MGS.

1. The Boss or Liquid Snake would work as a Snake clone.

2. I don't think Sakurai said that there will be no clones. When Smash Brawl was announced (and you can search any game site for this), it was mentioned that some characters may be removed and that the clones left over will get their own moves. From that, people think that there will be no clones.

Marth and Ike? They have completly different playstyles... Because of Ike's Bad @$$ 2-handed sword... And Marths Wimpy Sword...

And Sakurai hasn't even confirmed a clone yet... Or a Semi-Clone...

And I think Kirby & Gooey could be clones...
