Yeah I've been wondering where he's gonna stand on some of the pre-made stages. Some of them don't look like they'd have any good spots. Plus what about the ones with destructible terrain and that scroll around a lot. Hmmm..... Maybe he'll surprise us all and whip out a jet pack or something. :P

I'm guessing for custom stages Pokemon Trainer will stand on a platform that appears for him on the stage itself.
Like, A little background platform will appear for him if you're using him on the stage.
But we won't know (probably) until the game comes out.

Maybe he's riding on the back of his pokemon at all times, completely screwing up all their attacks and what not.

I think it has to do with the background you choose for the custom stage. Since you can choose from several different backgrounds, I think all of them will have something for PT to stand on.

On Dojo. He stands off to the side. and it sorta apears he follows them around while to the side of the stage. that would make sense. so if they jumped up a platform. he might very well do the same. the blocks in Stage builder certainly are big enough for him to stand on. alongside Squirtle,Charizard or Ivysaur.

on one of those hoverplatform things in melee that you start the stage on...duh!
