View Full Version : Unlockable costumes?

Do you think it will happen? A lot of popular fighters have unlockable alternate costumes. Obviously, Brawl isn't your average "popular fighter", but it's not like costumes affect gameplay. Alongside stickers, trophies, music, and even characters, I think another unlockable aspect would just expand the suspense value. I mean, you'd have to be a narutard to think a Chuck Norris costume wouldn't be great for a Bill Cosby character or someone from an anime/manga, or for that matter, anyone ever on a Nintendo system!

I hope to see something like this like getting Wario's Plumber costume or Mario's Dr. Mario costume would be nice

I think it'd be great if one were to unlock a new costume for each character after beating Classic or All-Star Mode with that said character, rather than just some useless trophy. It's little touches like this that can only add to Brawl's greatness.

That would be so awesome, like you could have links special armor from TP that heals him
(except it would Acculy heal you every once And a while)

its not impossible, it would be nice, but I doubt something like that will happen.(I would rather it than the stickers though).

I don't know about that. A costume on its own is a great idea, but when you start adding special powers and stuff to them, Sakurai's balancing job gets harder, and they'd probably get baned from tournaments. I'd prefer a costume that my character could slip into with no stipulations: Snake decided to kick your *** in a tarzan loincloth because he felt like it. You know what I mean?
BTW, I don't remember healing armor from Twilight Princess. Are you thinking ofthe rupee armor?

Yeah, I've thought that for quite some time. I think Dr. Mario, Pichu, and many more characters should act as unlockable costumes that add on to the end of the recolor list.

Yeah, that would be great. Then you'd have a reason to complete Classic with every character...

I think thats going a little too far. if your going to make costumes heal people. you might as well be shrinking Links hitbox with the minish cap. or making his sword range 3x longer with Oni Link. Costumes=no special powers please. it'd be sorta cheap online. and it would mess up tiers
just think.
God Tier=
Oni Link
Minish Link
Magic Armor Link
Fire-immune Link
Fox in his ship
Falco in his ship
Fox
Falco
Garbage Tier=Ike
Costumes with effects would be a bad idea. even though i gave some bad examples. Costumes would change looks. not gameplay.

this actually would be very cool especially because the selection of four choices and the only difference in color is pretty lame.
