Goodbye to Ness?

I don't know if this was found or not yet, but I was recently (Literally, like, 2 minutes ago) reading on the new Smash game at the Smash Bros Dojo site, and I read somehting that kinda struck me odd.
I don't know when this update-thing was launched (today, I think), but it was regarding Lucas' special moves. Under one of the sections it reads: "There’s a character named Ness who has appeared in the Smash Bros. series up until now, and Lucas is very similar."
Yeah, thats right, "Up until now". Does this mean that Ness isn't gonna be in the new one? I apoligize to anyone if they already seen this, or if it's just common sence that he won't be. I figured I'd post it and get th latest info =P

I can understand why you're upset. But I can 100% guarantee you Ness will a least be a trophy and that there will be an EarthBound stage.

Ok, I may have accepted Ness is gone, but saying Lucas has more moveset possibilities is retarded, they both have a generic psychic move and PK Flash for offense and stat raising and healing PSI for everything else, not to mention they both wield bats and yoyos, if Lucas hadn't stolen the ropesnake he would still have a terrible grab just like Ness did in Melee.

Everyone is so adamant that Ness is out that I have to play devil's advocate. Lets see the evidence deconfirming Ness:

The Starmen.net rumor.
The latest update, which has been revealed to have slight translation errors that don't come off so harshly for Ness in the other languages.
Lucas's moveset

None of these things are enough to outright prove Ness to be out, yet everyone makes the assumption that he is. Yes, it's likely that he isn't going to be playable, but don't act like it's fact.

So? There are also items and abilities that come only from Mother 2, none of them actually have enough moves to sustain a full moveset, that's why they steal other characters's items and abilities, saying he has more moves is unfair and ignorant, they are both in the same terrain.
