(Note: This list isn’t meant to be taken seriously.)
There have been some discussion over who would make the better “WTF” character, for some, Pokemon Trainer and/or Snake, well, I can safely say that every characters on this list beat them in sheer WTFness.

Name : Garland
Game : Final Fantasy
"I, Garland, will knock you all down!"
Description: This poor fellow was the first boss (and strangely, Final Boss) ever in a Final Fantasy Game. His moveset could be that of a Luigi-fied Ike and his Final Smash could involve him turning into his "Chaos" form from the end battle of the original Final Fantasy. I say he would make a better Black Night that the Fire Emblem Black Night would, but that's only my opinion.

Name: Dobkeratops (Also know as Doppelganger, Krell and Gladiator, thank to the wonder of inconsistent translation.)
Game: R-Type and sequels
Description: This guy was the first boss of the arcade classic R-Type and was a big wuss despite his fearsome appearance. How he could work as a character is beyond me, althought Sakurai could certainly find a way of making him workable.

Name: Crocomire
Game: Super Metroid
Description: This fine lad was the Mini-boss of Norfair in Super Metroid, and is notable for having perhap one of the weirdest videogame death ever (He fall into lava, come out of the lava as a skeleton and break a wall before collapsing.). The confirmation of Norfair as a stage upgrade his chances from 0% to 1%.

Name: Gunforce Dude.
Game: Gunforce: Battle Fire Engulfed Terror Island
Description: Gunforce was an obscure, ugly, "FEED ME ALL YOUR QUARTETS. AHAHAHA!" hard arcade game and overall, it was simply a Contra rip-off. This game then received a SNES port that was unniversaly panned by critics and gamers alike at the time of it's release, while Bill Gryzer from Contra fame could do everything that guy do and more, I'm sure than the inclusion of this guy would raise quite a few eyebrows.

Name: Lavos
Game: Chrono Trigger
Description: This guy is the main antagonist of the much famed RPG Chrono Trigger and the Chtullu of the videogame universe. The way I could see him working is that he would turn into a random character evey thirty seconds (He could turn into Random bosses during his battle in Chrono Trigger.) and his Final Smash could be him turning into his "True" form.
Coming Soon: Runner Up and character that don't meet the requirements set by Sakurai.
