So we have 2 3rd Party Characters already. Sakurai said there could be 3 of them who could be the 3rd?

Snake

We don't have many explosive moves in Smash and Bomberman could provide them. It'd be a good idea to add him.

Cloud Strife

In my opinion the most popular FF character in the series. Look at that blade! It could deal some serious damage in a Brawl.

This squirrel could have some potential though with Microsoft claiming him don't count on it.

One of the more likely ones. This guy hasn't appeared on a Nintendo Console in 7 years... but the ICs might have something to say about that.

With the many weapons and popularity this dude will be an obvious choice. The only downfall would be that it might make the game rated M.

Megaman has many possible moves considering the 5 different looks he has. I say Megaman would be great.

From Final Fantasy it's Mog! He does have a chance as he's already been an 3rd Party for Mario Hoops 3 on 3. He looks like he would be a fast but weak character but good none the less

Megaman is not obvious...There is nothing that proves that it is obvious that this blue *** is gonna get in. Sonic was obvious because Sakurai showed much interest in him. I don't get even a slight clue that Sakurai wants Megaman in.

My two bigger choices are Marina and Crono. Megaman and Geno, while welcome additions, are not characters I'm too crazy about.

Happy 20th Anniversary Rockman!

I was fortunate enough to have the privilege of attending the Rockman 20th anniversary event this year. While at the event I met with my previous Capcom contact (from the Ryusei event) who informed me of what Keiji Inafune was basically saying saying in his speech. Inafune stated he was surprised at the turnout, which was enormous, seriously they sold out of everything at the Rockman store in 30 mins. They actually had to tell people to stop getting in line for the store. Inafune also said that with this turnout he might consider making a new Rockman game in 5 years. When I asked about the Wii Rockman game I was told that while they have thought about it, and it is going to happen, they just don't know any details. I also asked about brawl and once again I got a no comment. So here is to hoping!

If anything this just goes to show that Rockman is still popular in Japan, and that Capcom has underestimated the strength of Rockman for awhile now, otherwise they would have been more prepared for the turnout.

no they can't. If they weren't involved, they would have just said "No." It at least shows that capcom has SOME involvement with SSBB, most likely meaning megaman's in it.

Okay, but what I'm saying is that ppl are saying that Megaman is obviously in because Sakurai showed interest in him and he was on the poll. If this was the case, then you might as well say Oguma, Claus, Sukapon, Kawasima, Jeff, Isaac and all of the others are OBVIOUSLY in because Sakurai showed interest in them by putting them on the poll as well. The same poll that Megaman was on. All of those characters are fair gain, most of them have 2 votes just like Megaman, so what makes this Blue Bomber OBVIOUSLY IN?

It truly is. There's been no hinting at MM like there was with Sonic. Not to say that means he won't get in, but there are plenty of other worthy third party characters if you use logic. Logically the next 3rd Party is unknown and will stay that way until we do get hints.

I was missread again. I never said that Megaman couldn't get in. All I said is that it pisses me off when ppl say that he is the most "obvious" choice. You assume that the last spot is definitely going to him. If he got in, so be it, but there is nothing that truly says that he is the most obvious choice. Any other 3rd party character could get it just as much as Megaman.
