which character is best they both are really popular but i just wanted to know which was best because i saw so many threads i want to hear from you guys!! My opinion is Mega-Man!!

Pac man pics would not help him.. it would just make his inclusion seem a bit more odd.. in my opinion.

Frankly they both suck and i hope neither of them get in. Though i do like that pick of Mega-Man and wario.

Megaman:
moveset-wise:
-has his trusty megabuster,
-over 100 unique weapons to choose from
-can steal powers
-can use his helpers like rush, beat, and eddie.

iconic-ness:
-has over 100 games.
-is one of the most recognizable figures in gaming, along with mario and link.
-has been around for over 20 years.
-is one of the most best-selling game franchises of all time
-is the mascot of one of the biggest 3rd party companies today.

relation with nintendo:
-capcom and nintendo are on very good terms(they let capcom make ZELDA games for petes sake)
-classic megaman has only had 2 games to not be on nintendo consoles.(not counting SEGA consoles, which would bring it to 4)

Popularity is smash:
-megaman is a very highly wanted character, in both europe, japan, and america, often ranking high in top brawl character wishlists.
-Sakurai has expressed intrest in megaman
-had 2 mentions on the poll.
-capcom and the brawl team at least seem to be on some relations with eachother, since kenji inafune keeps on being hush-hush on every question for megaman's inclusion in SSBB.

Pac-man:
Moveset-wise:
-waka waka waka......
-can roll up into a ball and charge......
-......I'm all out, someone help me here.

iconic-ness:
-the original pacman is one of the most iconic games of all time.
-however, his less-than positively recieved pacman land games have made him a bit hated in the eyes of modern gamers

relation with nintendo:
-namco is on good relations with nintendo
-namco allowed a nintendo character to appear in one of thier games (even if it wasn't a pacman game)

popularity in smash:
-pacman supporters are a minority everywhere.
-matter of fact, pacman is perhaps one of the most hated possible brawl choices out there.
-in the west, people desire namco reps like soul calibur characters, or loyd irving from the tales games, over pacman.
-in japan, people much desire Klonoa or a tales character over Pacman
-Rank zero times on the poll.....

i think pac-man could make a good assist trophy. The first pac - man the one without the legs and hands. He can move around the stage eating people. That would be awesome. Well he would more bite them than eat them.

Both. Definetely. Pac-Man needs redemption, and this is the perfect opportunity. Megaman is Megaman. No other way to explain him.

Also, if Pac-Man makes the cut, you cannot deny how cool his Final Smash would be.

Pac-Man and Megaman both have good chances. I think they should both be in, but I would choose Pac-Man over Megaman any day.

Megaman has been with Nintendo a lot more than Pacman will ever be. The blue bomber's fame was at its peak when his games were still Nintendo-only. Pacman is known mostly in the arcades.

He's the only Namco character that represents Pac-Man anyway (his cap). Klonoa also fights better.
