i personally saw lucario as a fast faller type character, with quick combos, but he turned out to be a lot more floaty. im not feeling that. what do you guys think, doesnt lucario seem better fit as a less floaty character?...peace

Yeah, I agree with this.

There are a lot of fast faller type characters with quick combos already in Smash Bros.

His movements and jumps remind me too much of mewtwo =(

Lucario looks like a beast! I will definately try him out.

I imagined him as a fast faller as well, but you know, he still looks extremely ******.

Lucario's movement seems to be the best in my mind.
I also saw him as a fast faller but i think how he turned out is actually going to improve his ability to combo.

^Triple post D:
Anyway, Luke could've had pretty much anyset of physics, so this works fine.

I think he seems fine. Go Lucario!

I saw him as a heavy but small character cause of his steel typing, but I have no problem with the floaty-ness.

I think you're trying pretty hard to find a problem when Lucario does, in fact, rock hard.
Another on a list of chars I want to try out a lot.

I am.
Actually, it's just Lucario I have a problem with.

Well i think Lucario is a good addition (and expected) The fact that he floats down actually makes sense seeing his powers deal with aura and how he is one Aura. I think he is going to be a awesome character.

Judging from the videos I've seen, it seems to be pretty clear that he is a replacement to mewtwo. He is floaty, has an instant teleportation move, (at least, I think he used a move like that) and he has shad...er,aura ball as a charge B attack.

I think alot of people expected Lucario to play like fox.

lol how could a foxmade out of steel be floaty?

He should be a fast faller, and I don't really like his running animation, but his attack animations make up for it.

I actually like Lucarios movements, he is fast and can wall climb.

His floatiness allows for some pretty good air control, neh?
That and if he was a fast faller he'd get combo'd to destruction.

He's actually EXACTLY as I predicted he would be.

I really like the way lucario moves.... it's slow...but at the same time it's swift. :psycho:

The only two moves Lucario stole from M2 are the Shadow Ball (Luc's Aura Sphere) and the F-smash...and that "teleportation" move was indeed NOT a teleport...it was Extremespeed...it was a highspeed dash...so no, Luc's not a M2 replacement imo...
As I read through this entire thread, I see one common complaint: Lucario's floatiness...and I'd like to address that...
If you haven't noticed, a lot of the characters (minus Fox, Falco, Wolf?) are floaty...most of the vets have become floatier than they were...so it shouldn't be too surprising that Lucario's a little floaty...it's just the trend...and it doesn't seem as floaty as M2...

i didn't expect Lucario to play as how he is. I thought he would have fox type movement, and A LITTLE mewtwo. But i still love the way Lucario plays :).

Don't double post.
Also, anyone know if lucario has any good ko'ing aerial maneuvers?

Guys... from my experience of Mewtwo... You don't really want the Floatiness.

@pyroroth: it has a spike...that works imo...
@Neemo: Seconded...floatiness FTL...but Lucario is on par with the rest of the characters (minus the fastfallers)
@AltF4: You win...

You know, I just realized that real life has the best physics engine of all and if only these designers would ask got for a copy of his engine I'm sure we could make better games.

Spikes are too situational to be considered good ko'ing moves imo.. I mean like Nairs, Fairs, Bairs, or Uairs.. like sheiks Fair or Uair.. something like that

Guys... from my experience of Mewtwo... You don't really want the Floatiness.
Floatiness wasn't bad. What was bad was how ridiculously LIGHT Mewtwo was. He was way way too light considering his size, speed, and power. Floatiness is not a bad thing, as Marth is also very floaty. It's all in how the moveset correlates with the mechanics of the character. In Mewtwo's case, the floatiness was a good thing, as it allowed him to fit in a lot of aerials in the air and protected him from some combos (although his size made him a sack of combo meat for characters like Falcon).
Lucario doesn't have these problems though. He is way heavier than Mewtwo was, and his moveset is a vast improvement. Not to mention that it seems like the ceilings of the stages in Brawl are much higher, so being floaty doesn't hurt your survivability as much.

I would have never thought Lucario would be floaty.
His body is made of steel <_<
Its kind of disappointing but oh well/
