Here's another one that I randomly played online, it's a set vs a guy that was Fox and Lucas. So there were a bunch of mistakes because of lag, but it gives you more of an idea of how I play. I recommend watching this in High Quality since it's alot better.

I was very impressed by this. Some of the things you do seem very original and I think I will steal a few ideas from you.

TO LOBOS:

I was impressed by some of the things you did with tether. I need to use it more against characters like ROB and marth to make them question their range adavantage. I really don't take advantage of it enough.

I would like to request that QUIVO, antichrist, JesiahTEG, Lobos or any other TLs upload some matches of themselves vs. MKs, Olimars, and ROBs. I never see videos of these and they are difficult match-ups so I want to see first hand how some of the other toon links handle them.

I agree. That would be very helpful for all users so we can see the best, along with seperating combo videos from normal videos (and Toon Link "confirmation" videos).

Not bad (definitely! :)). You didn't use enough arrows though. You also could have landed or pulled a lot more bombs in a few situations, especially in your first match (although you definitely used enough bombs). Also, your recovery was fairly predictable a lot of the times, and if any foe attacked you in air it wouldn't have been pretty. However, your opponent never really tried, but you really need to get projectiles or something to counter edge guarding. You also weren't edge guarding much or very well. It almost seemed you weren't trying, even against Falco's very stopable recovery. If you were edge guarding you would have gotten a lot more kills a lot quicker, and you would have really putten your opponents in the gutter in those two matches. Also, MROE bAirs overall is a nice thing without spamming it or becoming predictable (unless they can't stop it :p). The same goes with arrow. You also definitely need to use your tilts quite a bit more.

Other then that, you applied your aerials failry well (despite using too many offensive dAirs), you used your projectiles fairly well, you were generally good at recovering, and you had very good bomb applicaton. Your defensive and offensive transitions were great (but not perfect), and your application of your tilts and smash attacks was great (especially your fSmash and fTilt application). Best of all, at moments I saw where your true potential was shinning through. Simple and short, you were generally in and out from a very talented smasher to a fairly good smasher throughout the whole thing. I hope that helps. ;)

i think link would beat tl because link owns the stage even though they butchered his recovery. as long as he stays on stage he is undefetable this is y i think that link should be at least top of the middle teir

tl also isnt very good because his killing ability is pretty low. this is another reason that link would win and link has alot more combos compared to tl. the only tl combo i no is fair to bair but link has many combos with the bombs and his chain (which is gimped for tl) so please show me some tl vs link vids

I think that you think Link would beat TL because you main Link. But who knows, it depends on the player mostly.

Toon Link's kill moves imo: usmash, fsmash, uair, fair, dsmash, nair, dair. He's not bad at killing, but he's not great either. Some of those moves are actually better at killing compared to Link.

If Link had better recovery then he might stand a chance but his recovery sucks and he's not as good at comboing as TL is. Also his boomerang and arrows are worse, and you can't SHDA with Link.

You can't force other players to stay on the ground as link though, and link isn't terribly good with his ariel game. I'm pretty sure you're wrong there. But I do enjoy playing link XD

John gaves some pretty good pointers. I'd like to add that you should think about practicing to incorporate zair into your routine. It'll give you more versatility and range when it comes to close quarter combat. Speaking of zair, you might also want to explore the reach and potential of pivot grabbing or dash grabbing.

your areal aerial advances are good. Nair well applied ;) but think about less upSmashes. As you probably know, the more you successfully land a move consecutively the less damage and knock back it does. Try using the Up tilt more often instead of the upSmash. Save the upsmash for when the opponent is at higher percent. Otherwise....grats on these battles.
