Since it'd be near impossible to find out whats the deal about the l-cancel w/o looking into others things I don't want to look at. I just wondered. How exactly does the l-cancel work this time around? I only know from Gimpy's impressions that one can l-cancel when shffling, but what about those that could use the GC controller? Can pressing L still l-cancel? Can it be done w/ short hopping or full jumping as opposed to only shffling?

L-Canceling has been confirmed to be out.
The Melee L-cancel is out as pressing L before landing during an aerial does nothing.
The L-cancel that was in Gimpy's impressions is fast falling before doing an aerial.
That has been confirmed to be out.
As of now everyone says that there is no L-canceling and you're stuck with the lag of each move.
But, some moves have almost no lag so that's good.

Edit: Nevermind, someone who understands these things got to this first.

What other techniques have been confirmed at this stage?

A quote from a thread on the matter:
Let's see... removed or otherwise nerfed into infinity ATs:
* Crouch Cancelling (though I might've seen vids with it, I'll report back come Wednesday)
* L-Cancelling
* Float-Cancelling
* Dash Dancing
* Directional Airdodging
* Wavedashing
* Reverse Neutral B
* Cancellable B moves
Don't know about new ones, since I haven't read those threads.

lag of aerials is dependent on how much of the move is left. The more frames of the aerial is left when you hit the ground = more lag.
