How many of you saw the introduction movie? If you did, what did you think about it?
I didn't like it. It was pretty much a random compilation of SSE and gameplay footage. It was neat when I first saw it, but I was expecting a cutscene made from scratch, like Melee's intro.

me too.. it was a little strange compared to n64 and melees.. I expected a new intro music too :( It wasn't even a little bit of epicness!

why is this being posted in the *Spoiler Free Zone* when you're talking about the video that shows spoilers?

Yeah, this really doesn't belong here.
As for me, i liked it, except the music. That tune it recycled WAY too much. Every Song that isn't from something uses this tune, which, by now, is OLD.

I love it. They did an absolutely fabulous job of fitting the action in the scenes to the music, which is among my favorites from Brawl's soundtrack. Just watching that can easily restore my excitement for the game pretty much any time.

Well, there weren't any spoilers mentioned in this topic anyway, but in case someone reveals the new characters shown. Besides, if I posted this somewhere else, I could've seen other spoilers too..

I didn't really like it either. As you said, I was expecting something different and original - certainly not already made gameplay footage. It just wasn't epic enough. :(

At first I thought it was kinda cool how the opening is composed of like, only clips you can watch through SSE. But when I thought about it more, it disapointed me.

A lot of us thinks its not. Once we play through SSE, it won't be as memorable. The only reason it was exciting at first was because we were deprived of SSE information at that point. After SSB64 and Melee's opening, it doesn't seem as good.

Ah it seems quite epic enough. It was a good montage of the starting roster (plus two) and was well done, and had good musical accompaniement.
They picked great scenes from the SSE, and I dont think it should lose points simply BECAUSE the scenes were from SSE. The thing is, they HAD to create an opening for Melee and SSB64, because those had no story whatsoever.
THis game however, has an epic adventure to pull certain scenes from. So technically, you cannot compare it to Melee and SSB64's, because they HAD to create new scenes for an opening. They didnt in brawl, like I said.
I think it was just fine.

I guess you have a point there. We're lucky we even got SSE.
