View Full Version : Diddy Kong Aerial Spike Combo

I was experimenting with a new metagame I found, which shall be released when I have mastered it, and was testing it out on a bunch of characters. I am not good with Diddy, but after this I am going to use him as a main or back up. Here is what I discovered.

You use his forward special to latch onto your opponents face and then hit B to deal damage and jump off. As soon as this animation finishes you tap down and at the same time that you do a short hop. This will allow you to cancel the animation and should stop the lag. Then, you lightly tap the jump button to do a short hop, timing it so a toadstool jump is executed. This will lightly stun them and allow you to position yourself for a short hop and the you do dair.

So all in all its:

Over B > B > Down > Short hop toadstool jump > down on c-stick

I am not sure if this is known, I don't use Diddy but yeah...figured this would be amazing if used.

sadly, i dont think this works on diddy. If you C-stick literally as soon as you toadstool jump, you're already in the air. The only character this move would work for (toadstool jump into an unavoidable down A) is lucario, since his stops all momentum
