Unlocking Toon Link?

Man, I know this is gonna sound retarded but I can't unlock Toon Link! Okay, I beat the game with Link, got Luigi, then beat it with him again, and got Marth, then beat classic mode again with Link and got no one! Are there any special criteria for getting him? Like not dying or something?

You need to either Beat The Subspace Emissary and go to the "Forest" stage and enter the first door hovering in the air or play 400 brawl matches

Picitt speaketh the truth, or you can also beat Subspace and beat classic with link.
The myth of beating classic with Link needs to be dispelled.

Ahhh. Thanks for informing me :) I've been tired of going through classic all the time...

I would have had Toon Link by now, but I just got my Wii back yesterday from repairs, and didn't have a chance to play Brawl.

Because you haven't beaten SSE.

To unlock Toon Link, you MUST beat SSE. After you have beaten SSE, either do the 400 VS. matches, go to forest level in SSE, or beat classic with Link.
