So yeah... I was playing event match 41 on hard and was having trouble beating it. I finally beat it using this really cheap strategy with Toon Link (but it's so satisfying). All you do is stand at the edge of an arena and wait for your opponent (or opponents) to come to you. You then grab your opponent and throw them off the edge. As soon as you do that you jump towards them and use your Dair to meteor them downwards. If it connects, you nearly always kill them. The only problem with it is that if you miss, you're screwed and you will fly down to your doom. Is there a way to cancel Toon Link's Dair in midair? If not, that's all right , this strategy is still kick ***. I think I'll make a vid. What do you guys think?

Yeah, that works great on CPUs, but no player will ever be hit by down air that easily.

Yeah, against a real person it's almost 100 times harder to hit with the dair off the stage since they will probably just DI out of it or something. But when it does hit...^___^.

I've learned that if you dair someone in the early frames of them climbing off of the ledge, you will meteor them down.
I haven't been able to do it consistently, though.

You need to watch out for people that ledge hop because if you miss they will punish you hardcore.

Yeah but... if you fake them out then use the Dair, then they're screwed.

Try and see if you can do the DAir glitch which allows TL to hover rather than just shoot down. As much as it does not provide a spike into it, it does give a good flinch to the opponent, causing them to fall die to their impending doom.

I find it pretty hard to meteor using Dair, only because of the timing. Best I've been able to pull offis by accident though...

The best way to get someone with a Dair off the edge is combo it from a bair. Or at least thats what I have found.

Go see videos of KIZZU and his officially named KIZZU combo? From what's stated in the vid, its named after him. Don't have the url cuz I'm at work and they have blocked youtube T_T

May I ask what DI means? Sorry....

Kizzu's attack seems practical in a lot of situations, but it seems that quite a few of the projected top tier characters will be able to avoid it somehow (Ike). It also relies on the user having good reflexes, to be able to see when to use Dair and when to get further above the opponent.

DI = Directional Influence. This means that if you initiate an attack and it hits, the direction of knockback/attack can vary and determined by how you are moving your analog stick. Sometimes, you can change your resultant knockback from an opponent's attack to hit somewhere on the ground/flight direction/etc. A good view of knowing what DI is is to have someone be Yoshi and swallow you and poop out an egg. How you move out from pooping is DIing out from an attack.

The timing isn't hard. Just use his d-air in the same range as you would a normal aerial, and forget about the "shooting down" part. It spikes at the beginning of the animation, so just use d-air when you are over the opponent.

Anyways, it can be useful. Toon Link has a deceptive edge-stall: Drop, jump, tether with the hookshot, and go back to the ledge. A lot of the time it will look like you are actually ledge-hopping, and your opponent may try to intercept you somehow, and then you can spike. I've honestly pulled it off a few times.
