Dair issue.

I was just playing a game of Brawl, when I spotted a chance to spike the Ice Climbers as Toon Link. I jump up, do a dair, and Popo goes flying straight up! Anyone know what is up with that?

You probably weren't close enough when you started the D-air because it only spikes for the first few frames.

Okay, well, there are multiple reasons for this result:
1. The spike went from down and then shoots up due to extremely high knockback going down
2. When you do DAir and not straight down on characters, they usually tend to fly up instead of going down
3. Not enough information, please identify more information for a detail description of event

Don't worry, this isn't something that's not normal. I've done it a few times where opponents just flys up after a DAir.
