I don't frequent the Tlink boards so I apologize if this is common knowledge.
If Tlink puts his down air into slanted ground, he will slide a distance based on the angle of the ground. Try going to Corneria and doing a Down Air into the most slanted part of the ship (on the fin) and watch Toon Link slide almost to the neck! Very cool. Also try Dairing on the slants on Green Hill Zone, or Melee Yoshis Island.
The slide is generated from where the sword connects with the ground, not where it goes, so if your sword initially hits an angle thats going down at 30 degrees, and then you slide to somewhere with no slant right after, you will keep the slide you generated at the 30 degree angle.
I've found it pretty useful in mindgames on places like Corneria especially. Downair the slant part of the fin, Upsmash their shield.
New Info1: If the ground ends (like onett's slanted roofs) your momentum will stop when there is no more ground to slide on. It is not like double sticky DI in melee, where momentum will be kept.
Fun Places To Do This
Pokemon Stadium 1 - Earth Mode, the very slanted platform on the right.
Corneria - Very slanted part of the fin
Green Hill Zone - Left and right ramps
Yoshi's Island - Both ramps
and more!
