Dair Floats?

I noticed that when I was playing that TLinks Dair floats in mid-air. It usually happens when your opponent hits you and as you are tumbling upward if you do his Dair he either comes down really slowly or in this case he will just float with the sword sticking out(floats like peach does). I can't seem to do this on my own, so I think it's the mechanics and physics of the game itself.
Thoughts?
