This was on wifi so i roll-dodged a lot. No johnz but i get a habit to roll-dodge on wifi.
Anyway i didnt seem to find a thread where a good toon link rates other people's toon link.
I thought by saving space this could be the thread where Toon Links critic other Toon Links.
If im wrong and there is a thread, thats my fault i didnt see it then.

You played fairly well, and in my opinion you actually could've done with more roll dodging. Here's what you needed to work on

A) More SH arials
B) RAR
C) Edgehogging
D) DI
E) Less DAIR

What you did best on:
Your tilts were dead sexy.

I'm assuming you were LITE in this match, so that's player I'll be critiquing, or more accurately, talking about, since I'm still a newby Toon Link. Things to work on would be your chasing. When you knock your opponent off the stage, TL excels at chasing them. I can tell you like to keep a safe distance and play projectile, but that gives your opponents time to recover, which is something you don't want: TL has a much better aerial game than a land one.

Also, less grabs and Dairs. In the first two minutes alone you failed to grab about four times, two of which came after your opponent failed to grab. You should take advantage of that lag to set up something like an Fsmash. Dairs on the ground are just a bad idea in general, unless you lob a bomb down to secure your recovery or are trying to spike off the edge.

I'm also going to assume you're LITE. I would definitely echo that you're biggest problem was chasing/edge guarding. You seemed pretty dominant that whole match but you may have put that one away pretty easily if you had chased him when he tried to recover. In general I would definitely just add more aerials everywhere. Using some more short hops and bairs to combo would definitely help you game. It was a good game nonetheless, with a little more practice you'll be a very good TL player.

You didn't really try to start any aerial combos... You had so many chances that you just let slip right by you. You relied a lot on your ground game with projectiles and smash attacks. I think if you throw some aerial combos in and don't rely so much on projectiles against a toon link ditto, you would have done a lot better. Remember, Toon Link's shield can block projectiles ;)

I would say try and recover faster from your rolls and dodges, throw some up smashes and guard the edge a little more, also try to attack your opponents in the air. ;)
