What are disjointed hitboxes and which Toon Link moves are disjointed?

Hitboxes that aren't vulnerable to attack. (His sword.)

EDIT: I suppose you could say his (as well as everyone else's) projectiles are as well. I.E.

When you say vulnerable you mean if an opponent attacks the sword nothing happens? even with higher priority?

A disjointed hitbox is a hitbox that is away from the body itself. Every sword or weapon user has disjointed hitboxes, and all projectiles are disjointed.

Yeah, basically... it would be kind of hard to test with TL, since his sword is short, but characters with swords (unless I'm horribly mistaken, and this is only in Melee) can hit bombs and stuff without getting hurt. Well, you get the point anyway.

Yep, basically.

In response to your questions about which moves, I believe TL is the only character to have his entire moveset composed of disjointed hitboxes. For example, adult link has a neutral and back air that involves him kicking so he does not have a disjointed hitbox for these moves but TL uses his sword for every non-projectile move.

What about Marth? Or do grabs count?

I think disjointed hitboxes are attacks where the "hurting part" is not part of your body. So if it gets hit, you don't get damage. I think there are many threads in maybe the Melee section that you can SEARCH for that are more in-depth.

What about Lil' Links bow? Is it disjointed?

TL's bow is a projectile, that's different. Projectiles are. . . very disjointed because you throw them and they hit way outside your body so when we talk about disjointed hitboxes projectiles aren't included.

No. His bow isn't a projectile, his arrows are.
My question is; is his BOW disjointed?

Oh. . . I doubt it but I wouldn't worry too much about having a disjoint hitbox with the bow. You shouldn't be using it that close to people. I haven't actually tested to see if the bow is disjointed, of course, so if someone else knows for sure go ahead and say it.

This seems like it would be a disjointed hitbox, but not really. If something explodes on the bow you will still take damage because you're close enough. The thing with swords is they extend, so you're not in the immediate explosion area. A better question would be how the bow and sword affect the HURTBOX of incoming attacks, which then relates to priority.
