I have a hard time dealing with people dodge very often, although the is a problem for me with any character I use, but I need to know what I should do to punish them with Toon Link. Someone I play against uses Lucario who has a very good dodge, uses his doge in excess and it can get very hard to land a hit. Also for some reason I have a hard time KOing with Toon Link, I know what move can kill, his Fsmash, Fair, and Dair, but it's very easy to see these coming what kind of mind game can I use against people to not sheild, or what attack can I use before Fair/dair/fsmash that I can follow into a fair/dair/fsmash. Thanks for any input.

I can't vouch for its effectiveness, but maybe grabbing them as they come out of the dodge would work. It certainly puts forth the in-your-face, "I'm pissed at you and your tactics" idea well. XD

Excellent topic, I'm having trouble with this as well. It's especially troubling with Lucario (I'm having trouble with Olimar as well) because he can charge his Aura Sphere, roll around you using AS's dodge feature, and hit you outside your range. It's extremely predictable after you show it once or twice, but one of the things that comes to mind is to Fsmash in the direction you know he will roll in. The first slash probably won't hit, but the second one most definitely will.
Like I said, extremely predictable.

Ok so maybe I can help on this topic since I found a way that helps me when I go against my friends Lucario who also like to roll around and dodge. When he rolls, run the opposite direction. when you see the running animation pivot (press opposite direction) and grab at the same time. this will shoot your hookshot in the opposite direction you where running (the direction of lucario). The only downside to this is that is you miss . . . you will be punished. also for lucario since he has only one very predictable projectile try to get spacing between you two and spam your projectiles.

Although it isnt really used in a TL competitive game, use a dash atk to punish rolls(thats like its main function) also a D-smash/ F-smash work nicely ,and if he's just dodge/roll happy then shoot an arrow or even a SHDA that'll stop him

You copied the dash attack thing straight from -Aether's guide. Oh well.
And using a SHDA against rolls would be too slow. One arrow is more than enough in this situation.

If someone is rolling either side of you, a downsmash usually works mid roll. Otherwise try spamming them with projectiles and make them come to you? You can usually get people mad enough by running away and spamming that they'll just run/jump straight into you. A win is a win right?

I really dont give a **** if people use the info in the guide. What I do wish is that people would post on it so it wouldn't end up on the second page.
Yeah but if someone's rolling a lot just use your grab or dash attack to punish them. Or jabs if youre positioned close.
