hi

i started playing toon link and i noticed that, occasionally, when firing an arrow in the air, toon link moves horizontally in the direction in which the arrow is fired. i tried recreating this in training mode (not really, spent only 5 minutes trying) but with no success.

can anyone explain why?

EDIT:
maybe i should elaborate. the horizontal movement is significant; it's not simply the horizontal distance gained from a regular jump. i did it accidentally and it occurs when he's prepping up an arrow while jumping. toon link appears to zoom forward (similar to fox's forward+B but not that much distance)

Are you running forward, jumping, then mid air firing the arrow? If that's the case, then maybe its the momentum of the jump, otherwise, I'm not completely understanding.

yep, that's what i'm doing except the horizontal movement is extremely noticeable, meaning it isn't just from the momentum of the jump. someone PM me saying that the change in horizontal distance might possibly come from boomerang recoil but i'm not too sure.

edit, edit: i played a little bit more and this time, i actually jumped backwards (to the right) and suddenly toon link thrusted left in the direction of the arrow. note: thrust is not too much (probably equivalent to toon link's width)

do u mean u want to use it to help you get back to the stage? do u instantly fire or wait?

i thikn the boomerang+bomb helps u get more horizantal distance

This is... air control, if I'm not mistaken.

If you could have saved the replay, or if you can manage to recreate it and post a video, this will be interesting..

Sounds like this could severely mess up the opponants rush if you could explain it
