I'm trying to get "skilled" with Toon Link, but I don't know how to practice with him. Level 9 computers aren't good because they don't have common sense. (I can Dair on them all day, and they never think to shield, then grab me or anything.) I have 2 brothers I could play, but they both suck too much to make it really worth it, although I find them better to practice on since they actually try to dodge my Dair.. sometimes. Online is also too laggy for me, and the 1 second button lag causes moves to screw up all the time.

Buy a new controller, and to reduce lag do what this thread (http://smashboards.com/showthread.php?t=151837) tells you to.

Thanks. I tried that. Let's see if it works.
And by controller lag, I meant that when I play online, it takes about 1 second for my moves to register and for t. link to actually perform them.

I have a similar problem. Usually, my 'practice' time consists of simply perfecting my techniques. I do practice against friends, and however much they may suck, it gives you an easy opportunity to practice against a human brain, and since they aren't as good, you'll have more chances to practice your techniques on real-life situations.
