RAR controls

im having trouble learning to RAR. is it easier to do it with the tap jump on or off?

It doesn't matter really, unless you, in some crazy way, accidently press up when switching between left and right on the control stick. Don't know if it's a good tip, but RAR like you would do a dash dance, but put a jump in, after you turned ^^

i feel more comftorble with tap jump on becouse that how i used to play but its alot hard to do short hops with it on, should i switch to tap jump off

I suggest learning with tap jump off. it really helps with the short hops, and if you're not doing the auto-RAR, then i almost find it impossible w/o using the jump button. It will take a day or two to get used to it, I played with it off, then I found myself losing three off my loses, then I switched it back on and found myself using the button even though the stick was avalible. Now it's off again.

If I may borrow this thread for a minute...Should I still attempt to learn to RAR if I am using Auto-RAR. Also, question about Auto-RAR, should I be able to do it as soon as I start the dash? because it seems that if I try that, I just end up throwing my boomerang at point blank range. Might just be my crap controller, but I just figured I'd ask.

Manually doing the RAR if your b-sticking seems pretty pointless. Also, the RAR does take some bit of a dash to use. In a created stage, its about 2 blocks.

K, thanks, just making sure it wasn't a controller lag issue, because apparently I bought the wrong kind of controller.
