My Bro Needs Some Tips for TL

Well here is the deal, I wanted to main Pit or Metaknight when the game came out, and in the beginning I was much better with Pit then Metaknight so I started using Pit. The person I normaly play with is my bro. (who plays TL) Unfortunatly he kept dying to me when I was playing Pit, his excuse for losing is that pit was rediculously overpowered... I told him to find a way around Pit's attacks and his reply was "you can't find a way around cheapness." So, I decided to try to focus on metaknight, I started to practce with him and got prety good but it was the same thing. "Metaknight is absolutely broken... you can't beat him ever... he has no weaknesses". He never EVER even considers the idea that I am better than him.

So, down to my question for all you TL players out there, are there any tips you could give me that I could tell my bro so he just doesn't stop playing against me alltogether? Particularly tips regarding fighting Metaknight? Thanks in advance for any help.

The main way I deal with Pits and MK is I just projectile spam and keep the spacing.
Pit has the annoying arrows, and unless you get good at them they are hard to control, so you can dodge them pretty easy.

Yes but Pit can also refelct projectiles so the best thing to do is grapple or melee moves or when he stops spinning the swords(thats how he reflects) get him then becasue there is a bit of a delay when he puts them back up or if he is in the air alot use a up+A.
