Toon Link chain grab?

Okay so I was fighting Diddy with TL. And I shield grab him. So rather than throwing him I beat him up till the game forces you to let go. But my finger is still on the shield button. I press A thinking I'm only going to to a regular attack but I grab him again. So i hit him again. And then I let go and I grab him again and beat him up some let go grab ect.

So is this a chain grab? Has anyone else done anything like this. I have not heard much about TL having a chain grab so I thought I'd check.

I think I know what you're talking about and it's not really a chain grab. Whoever you were playing against jsut probably wasn't quick enough to get out of it.

You are talking about grabbing someone, beating them up a little, and as soon as they break out of the grab, you grab them again?

I assume thats what hes talking about Coselm, but the other palyer probably could have gotten out of it if he was quick enough

You can get a good amount of damage if you smack them 2 times straight. Especially at higher percentages when you can hold people for longer.

not considered a chain grab, if a character breaks out of any grab they can easily get away. as others said the other player just didnt react fast enough.

Yeah I wouldn't concider this a chain grab, but at higher %ages this does work, is pointless if you can't hold them for very long.

I think it's just crazy enough to pull off once or twice, its the last thing the opponent would be expecting.
I wouldent expect more than doing it 2, maby 3 times though, depending on the opponent.

this does work but not really TL style if you know what I mean.Leave the chain grabbing to actual chain grabbers
