erm, my friend plays a pretty brutal meta knight, i win best when i dont just rush in, but by using my bombs, SHDA and boomerang to slow him down and keep him a safe distance, these, and up and forward tilt spams are my main damage dealers as he is very difficult to RAR with the Bair, as his aerials come out FAST and so can interrupt you very easily.
killing him off the side of the stage is impossible at best... he has multiple jumps, and every single one of his B moves is a potential recovery, granted, some lacking in distance but still, the b moves alongside his aerials and jumps gives him many many options. i find when i try to kill him off the side, the only way is just jumping in for a Fair, with a LOT of luck itll connect, and pretty much secure their death.. of course saving second jump and up B for return journey.
saving the knockback on the up smash is VERY useful, as it is a great kill move against meta knight as he is lightweight, so easy vertical KOs. it can be used out of a run and so means you can actually approach him for the kill move. i find having a bomb, running towards him, short hopping and throwing the bomb at your opponent, then running in for an up smash works great as a kill set up/move. seeing as the only way out of it is to shield both the bomb and up B, jump up or to roll away. its important to mix doing grabs and upsmashes so that the opponent doesnt know whether to shield, in case they are just gonna get grabbed. if they jump, it can easilybe followed for an Uair kill and if they roll away, both players have lots of options here.
when my friend rols away i like to just boomerang him for some free %, and use the stall time to get out another bomb whilst retreating a bit, and then starting back at square one :P

Projectiles. Z-air. Spam, U-smash for a kill.

ya using the hookshot in the air seems to work good more distance and sets you up for other attacks

space well. i also have tourble with really good MK's. use your projectiles smart dont just spam
Really good Mks will keep the pressure on you by using their neutral b. Does tink have a move that will knock him out of his tornado? You can shield it for very long before it pokes, and it's basically free damage. Bombs, arrows, or boomerangs won't stop the neutral b. I don't even think a nair or bair will stop it either.

Like everyone said, spam projectiles. Try to overwhelm him with them. Overly aggressive MK's can get through that though... which is what I have trouble with.
Go for projectile combos... boomerang or bomb + nair. Spot dodge a lot. I tend to use a lot of nairs and jab combos in this match up. You can try to rar, but against good Mks its hard.
I usually don't recommend using TL's dair, but do a short hop dair when you predict hes going to do a smash or something. Get this at lowish percent so you can do that dair > dair > uair/bair combo. They escape through DI but cant airdodge from what I've seen, so predict it.
If he tornadoes as an approach, have a bomb in hand and throw it at him. It can knock him out of it. You can also shield the whole duration of the tornado or just run off the stage. Also, if he does a tornado above you, you can just do a usmash.
Save that usmash and possibly dsmash to kill. Fsmash seems to be impossible to hit on a good MK. Usmash comes out fast enough and is strong. Dsmash kills at higher percent.
As for edgeuarding MK, i recommend just playing it safe and projectile spam when he's out there. At the ledge be careful, some of them like to do shuttle loops off the ledge, same with their shield and when they're above you. Always be alert when you're above them in the air. Airdodge, to avoid the up b. Also, get away from them after an aerial. Ive noticed most MK's like to dsmash when they land and it comes out so ridiculously fast.

Anyone ever dair spiked a metaknight out of up-b? I have done it plenty of times and I have pulled it off for a kill a few times. I played a few metaknights that ALWAYS try to up-b you through the corner of the stage as they are going for the edge, and all you have to do is have god like timing and short hop dair at the perfect moment. I have only landed this a few times and I know it only works on certain stages, but I'm not sure which.
Personally I never use the zair period. Maybe I should start to more.

Ditto. Unless I was desperate. But I am talking about safely spiking them while you are standing on the edge because they are trying to hit you with their up b and there is a moment where you can hit them with a dair and it wil spike them.
