I love to main Toon Link. I think he's the all-around best. I think he offers the most rewards for skill. That is why I begin this post.

Toon Link is a combo character, so utilization of the overall move set is key.

What this post is for is to help Toon Links all over smash boards. If you have something that would contribute to the overall level of Toon Link's play, then add it!
Please bold the word "strategy" if you are actually giving advice and not commenting on the thread itself.

My example:


strategy


Run forward, short hop, and neutral air. While still facing your opponent, jump back, and land while shooting an arrow (pressing b.)

Ok, I think I have a strategy, though it may be kind of hard(it is for me)
Strategy
Hop over a character (holding a bomb , first jump) and throw it down and hit him with it. Then, you jump back(second jump) over them and sword plant them.

Please tell me how this works. I tried this with link in melee and it did at least 25%.(if not 30)

But it's not worth it.

Ive seen Kizzu do that in his vids he usually z drops it then dair

well ive been using toon for a while now. i suggest u guys get a secondary or even 3rd character as counterpick.

the more u use your back air the more in knockback and dmge it decreases setting up better combos. a bair bair jump dair is a good 30%+

learn to short hop double arrows and idk.... use bombs smart

be aware of & abuse the tripping ("sweeping?") properties of his dash attack, catch people offguard with hyphen smashes, never catch the boomerang on its way back, lag cancel most of your arrows. take full advantage of how incredibly long lasting and disjointed the hitbox of uair is. utilt to bairs/bairs to uair. oh yeah, and use down taunt right by the edge every time you manage to spike someone
