Need Tips on how to get better

Hello everyone, i need help on how to beat my friend, so i need pointers on how to get better.

well i am no expert but i would say use dair less and mix in some more grabs

that doesn't seem like a lvl 9, he doesn't seem to air dodge from what i can tell
try using bombs more for damage they are low on damge (like coming back from death)
bombs are the most versitile projectile

dont use dair. for some reason comps cant avoid dair but if u use it against a human they will dodge it and punish you as it has huge lag. you seem to have some bad habits and do moves that would only hit a comp, not a human. stop playing computers and start playing more humans is my advice. also work on your approaches. you seem to be running up to them all the time. try short hop ariels and work on your spacing. otherwise a good player will just sheild grab you. you can use projectiles to approach too...

Don't go all out on jumps, a nice short hop followed by a fast fall (jamming down on the control stick when you reach your jump's apex) is great. Pick your spots with the dair, learn to SHDA effectively (and fire off an arrow to open the path for an approach,) and learn from other posters here. Good luck.

Online makes you better.. all of my friends suck at brawl I hate playing them. Find much better people on SWF and All Is Brawl . com

Ya online does make you better. But anyway, try and play people more than computers. Also, take out and chuck bombs at your enemy when you're not next to them. Bombs are useful becasue they can be thrown in different directions.

You need to use the boomerang way more. I seriously believe it's TL's most valuable projectile, as it can be thrown in multiple directions and be used for some serious mindgames. Oh, and something I like to do is shorthop > throw boomerang downwards > fair. The boomerang makes the person who got hit fly up the perfect distance and since there's a bit of lag the fair is perfectly set up.

Also, really try to always have a bomb out if you can and don't use upB or aerial hookshot as an attack.

Yeah man, less dair and more bombs. Trying b-sticking. A trick I use is dwn-b to neutral-b to forward-b to throwing my bomb that I had in my hand. Works for the first 3 times. Then you have to play mind games. That dair won't work on a human. Just keep playing online. I get my *** handed to me all the time but I get better. Try it out.

one good thing that links and TL's use it to SH from a decent distance so when u land ur infront of the person. SH forward and as soon as u leave the ground, throw a boomerang. If u do it right u should throw the boomer and land in front of the opponent AS the boomer hits them. So the boomer will stun them setting em up for a tilt or a combo. It good cuz u can do it from a distance, and not only get the first hit in with ur follow up, they cop a decent amount of dmg from the boomer itself.
