Bomb countering?

I used to main as snake but have recently taken favor to toon link, however out of habit I try to incorporate old techniques to new characters. I was just curious as to if this one works for TL or not

For snake he could use "grenade countering" by holding his grenades instead of throwing them and if an opponent were to hit him snake could shield and the grenade would explode in a counter attack of sorts only hurting the opponent.

Now I'm not claiming this is an awesome technique, I'm just curious if this technique would play out the same way with TL. Can he hold one of his bombs and shield as an opponent attacks for a counter of sorts?

Well, he can shield as the blast goes off while still holding the bomb and he;ll take no damage. As far as mimicking Grenade Countering, however, he'd have to drop the bomb on the ground or something for the opponent to hit it.

You can try to do this, though it's not practical. You can SH and press Z to drop the bottom. Then when your oppenent is going to attack you, shield. Like i'm saying... not practical XD You can always try the "Bomb Slide."

hold the shield and press A, you'll drop the bomb and you can shield again, then the bomb explotes
