I just won the first couple matches in wi-fi. Then, I lost like, six. How do you fight an amazing Falco?

I would also like to know this, a quick-reacting Falco user is dangerous to Toon.

Just stay close to him and don't let him get away. Bombs and Boomerang are good to hold him at bay. And try to spike him! Falco is horrible when trying to recover.

Ranging would probably be the best to go..Toon Link has lots of range. Boomerang, Bow, Bomb. Try this. When Falco uses his gun the just stand still (i think :) need to review). Oh and pull out a bomb. First jump and throw boomerang diagonally upward and throw the bomb up. Grab Falco and punch him a couple of times until the bomb and the boomerang come back and hit the both of u. This may not work but it damages him a good amount. Falco fast but i think Toon Link is about the same speed. I mean just look at his USmash! lol yeah so just rush him and range. Thats really all i got for u:laugh:

Predict his recovery and punish is solid aside from relentless yet intelligent attacks

Falco cant chain throw T. Link, I believe. Because of that, you can play aggressively. His lazers are more spamable than basically every other projectile. Just play at intermediate ranges where your projectile game has more options than his, and beat him close range with disjointed hitboxes.

I agree with u Aether..oh and make sure that you watch out for his shine. That thing is freaken fast. So range can be difficult to use if ur fighting a pro. Use the range for distractions :)

Chainthrow only seems to work 3-4 times if you DI and airdodge.
I recommend not spamming the projectiles so much, be smarter about them since the shine is annoying. Catch him off surprise with the projectile and follow up with nair or bair.

When edgeguarding, I recommend using the nair to predict and punish his over b. If he actually gets onto the stage predict that, and just space and fsmash or something.

What I usually do against Falcos is throw them off the stage and edgeguard as much as possible.

I've found that a good Falco will use a short hop double laser (which you can be absorbed by the hylian shield) but a really good Falco will be able to short hop single lasers which hit you just above your shield (which is a right bugger).

You either have to pressure cleverly or camp cleverly.

Basically, to beat an amazing Falco you have to be an amazing Toon Link.

It sounds like he's talking about the friend... the chances of playing a Falco 1-on-1 about 8 times is incredibly unlikely in "With Anyone."

yeah, i would say stay in your sword range but be careful, although i know TL can't be CGed, everytime im down throwed by a falco i DI up and hop out which makes them angry

As stated before the trick to beating a falco is to stay aggressive. If you keep a distance his lasers will be too much for you to handle. Stay on him as best as you can. Remember to use your u tilt->bair->bair combos to rack up easy damage. What counts is what you do off the edge in this match up too. you have to be careful due to his ability to spike you too. But your priority should be enough to knock him back just enough. His recovery is horrible too so take advantage of this. one hit while off the stage (depending on DI) should be more than enough to kill a falco.

Also be smart with your recovery, Mix it up as best as possible and remember to recover below the stage so he can't smash you to your death. He may chse you off the stage for a spike but it's a huge gamble on his part.

And lastly his recovery is very very predictable. Which means if you're accurate or skilled enough you can dair spike him.
