Hey all, Toon Links players this is a small little combo i found out by myself maybe some1 else found this out also but, i wasn't able to find another post similar about this. I often use this move alot and pull it off most of the time.
There are 3 variations to it.
Bomb Grab. - You are only able to do this and at 40% below.
Boomerang Grab. pretty much any percent mostly used boomerang to the person back 2 you
Bomb Boomerang Grab. 40% below

If anyone else can make names for them go ahead.

Well tell me what guys think about and reply plz if possible.

*Note* You don't have 2 jump if you want to do this

Wow, those are really good and might be pretty consistent. Good finds!

Usable, but pretty predictable. I don't see why he has to jump if he throws them so close to the ground.

yea. its somewhat predictable but i mostly sh boomerang. quickdraw arrow. grab. i mostly do this right i really got the timing down and predict their stuff and if you happen 2 miss ur your grab the boomerang should be coming back and hit him and his momentum will come to u and u do a USmash. If he shields or side-dodge it he or she should be in range and just continue off from there for a free smash. or w.e

and ya i know i didn't have 2 jump. Not sure y i did probably this is old but ill post more vids of other great ways 2 use this.

More of a "common-sense-if-the-opportunity-arises" type of thing, especially since it seems you have to waste time double jumping and hoping the opponent is next to you when you land and allow you to grab them. Throwing bombs upward, though is a cool way to influence opponents to back off on their approach.

If you weren't aware, people have also being doing bomb -> throw bomb straight up -> grab -> uthrow since Melee, which is cool, but unlikely to happen.

This is definitely effective, but like Teh Umby said...It will happen if the opportunity occurs. It's not something to base your gameplay off, but a nice little trick. Way to experiment. :)

I guess as Borat would say " Very Nice!"

I wouldn't say it's extremely useful to some extent.
IMO the bomboomerang combo is less useful in practical battle.

They are cool combos, but i do not find they will enhance your probability of winning. This combo can not be consistently used in a match, it is far to predictable. Your opponent will see it coming everytime you jump that high and use a boomerang or shoot a bomb straight up in the air. They can also hit you while you are jumping, in the video you are playing against a still opponent. IF you want to show us the versatility of the combo and how well it can be used, record a match of yourself and use it a few times.

IT seems more like you want to show things toon link can do, rather then what will work.

A much more efficient way of doing something similar to this, is something i have been doing since release. Which is when you are somewhat close to your opponent shoot the boomerang and there are 3 things that could happen.

1- Hits your opponent. Now since it hits them you can follow up with another boomerang since it came back, or you can grab or even attack them

2- They shield the boomerang. You will get it back and you can try again or do something else that works for you

3- They ground dodge, it goes past them. Now you have a quick shot at grabbing them or attacking. I prefer to grab since i can shoot them at the boomerang which is returning. Similar to what your combo's have shown. Just that this is more reliable since it can be done fluently.

When you say you mostly sh bommerang. quickdraw arrow. grab

i hope you do not mean all in one combo, because the boomerang is one of, if not, the only move TL can not do to while he is sh quickdrawing. The boomerang takes up to much time and there is not enough time left over for toon link to shoot the second arrow, unless you hit the ground then shoot it which isnt a quickdraw

The best way to know if you did a sh quickdraw is that when you land and link is already firing, his shield is still out and you can see he is holding it with the same hand that he is holding the bow. Looks cool

If anything, you can ledgehop a boomerang to quickdraw.

lol that isnt a sh boomerang quickdraw, which i was talking about. Of course you can jump higher and shoot the rang and then quickdraw. We were talking about sh.

lol

I know it's not a short hopped variant, hence why I said ledgehopped, silly.

I was simply offering the fact that you can.

It's good, but is it viable? It seems like it would only work when the opponant is standing still. Show me a video of it working in a real match and I'll take it more seriously.

Unfortunately I'm unable to, but the next time I play someone with recording equipment, I'll see about it, when Brawl isn't boring me.

edit: For some reason I thought you were referring to my post.

Cool, but the other person has to be right beside you.... so you probably can't do it in a match with a good player.

You can probaby do it on some people, but not all of them.
