TL vs Zelda/Sheik

My friend is tentatively deciding on a main, and TL seems to be his top choice so far. I main Zelda exclusively, and have lately been mixing in Sheik for certain matchups. When I tried Sheik against his TL, I get raped. My Zelda beats his TL fairly easily most times. I checked out the matchup thread out of curiosity and the poster rated Sheik as tougher than Zelda. Now I'm confused. I'm not as good with Sheik as I am with Zelda, but the projectile wall seems difficult for sheik to get past. What about Sheik is troublesome for TL?

I really don't know TOO much about this matchup, but I do know that Zelda is hard for Toon Link...I mean, playing that match up, all Zelda has to do is force you to approach with Din's fire and just attack you away with any one of her stupid attacks...Fsmash, Ftilt, anything. It's annoying. Don't know anything about the Sheik matchup in a while.

Din's fire, then I think her neutral b? (the one that reflects) can be frustrating for Toon Link. Of course, you have to use these moves intelligently and not just spam them.

Also, her smashes seem to have really good priority and range. It's kind of deceiving so you can probably catch him off guard with them.

Her Fair and bair have good Ko potential against toon link at early percents if you can manage to sweet spot them.


If a good sheiks stays on toon link, thens he can be a problem. Honestly though. I think Zelda can be more of a pain.

That seems to match my experience so far. Part of it is that I'm not as solid as I'd like to be with Sheik's speed, so TL can keep me at bay fairly easily, but in theory it just seemed like Zelda would be tougher anyway. I'll stick with what works then. Thanks for the replies! :)
