What is the best setup for Toon Link to do all his AT easier. I dont know if such a setup exists or if it just depends on the person...But I am sure there is an easier setup for what I need.

Thanks,

i changed Y to special so that i can use the double arrow shot easier. short hop with X and immediately press Y followed by Y again right before hitting the ground.

I set R to grab since i dodge and roll with L. not only that but i find it a lot easier to press than Z.

Finally, I set the control pad to attack. (Yes, I have no taunts now). I tend to short hop and Nair but every now and then, im in such a hurry to reach the opponent that i find myself Fair instead (huge lag). Therefore i set it attack to the control pad specifically for that move. Since I have to let go of the control stick to press the control pad, i do Nair everytime.

Everything else is pretty much the same.

Hope this helped!

Wow thanks for your input, but that way seems a little too hard for me, especially since I have to let go of the control stick (though it may work for you) and I lose my EPIC taunts ><. Thanks anyways!

Still looking for an easy but effictive way to play TL with a modified setup,

Here's what I do: Tap jump off, set X as special, set L as jump, everything else default. Some people don't like having shield set on a shoulder button, as it takes perhaps a millisecond more to press it down, but I personally don't find it that disadvantageous.

Here's what my config allows: easy SHDA (either L+B+B or Y+X+X) and easy quick bomb throws (if you're running with a bomb in hand and press L+C-stick behind you, TL does a sweet quick throw behind him, which is awesome for retreats; another thing L-jump allows is the ability to DI and double jump while throwing bombs via c-stick, which I think is way underused).

Another thing: I've gotten used to using both B and X for special; this helps not only for specials involving jumping (thanks to X) but also for specials performed quickly after c-stick (thanks to B). That is more of a personal thing, I guess.

Hope that helps. I've done quite a bit experimenting to decide on this config, and I'm very happy with it.
