How do I use bombs (and the boomerang) wisely?

I always try to combo bombs into a returning boomerang, followed by a dair or two, but I think I can do better than that.

Anyways, comboing bombs into boomerangs is hard, and not very effective really. You're better off using them to pressure, keep them away, or edgeguarding...occasionally, you can get an attack off after you hit them with a bomb, but that's about it really.
