First v. Diddy video:

I'm not a diddy main and hardly ever play diddy but it seems to me that your friend almost never punishes your whiffs and never uses bananas. Again, i'm no Diddy main, but it seems to me that bananas are essential to playing a good diddy.

He also runs into a lot of your attacks and seems to love missing his grabs, and in the first half he missed like eight spikes in a row.

Your tlink is kind of harder to judge because you never get punished for anything.

You miss two recoveries, one because youre too low and the other because you arrowed and were too low. I wouldn't worry about throwing that boomerang or arrow if it's a recover/die situation. You also dair kill yourself once, and I see too many close range projectiles. I counted two bomb pulls at close range.

You utilize the projectiles really well at longer ranges but I feel that the diddy just gets hit by them - boomerang -> arrow -> maybe bomb is kind of predictable, I think.

You only use smashes and I counted a few tilts that were not meant to do anything but whiff. I may just be a tilt *****, but I love all of tinks tilts.

You also get hit by your own bombs a couple of times.

But you seem to be pretty solid in your cookie cutters like bair-> bair, it's mostly really miscellaneous things.

Third one:

Both of you seem to be doing better, I like the bananas but hes not doing much with them.
The diddy still seems to enjoy not punishing, though. Youre at like 118 around the time that you win, and have killed him once and led him to suicide twice - and it wasn't even edgeguarding, he just suicided chasing you/ returning.

Youre doing everything a lot better in this video, it seems to me, such as less fsmash, and landing a utilt. Your projectile game seems to have slowed down a bit but thats not too bad, if bad at all. It makes matches more entertaining.

see, my friend didn't like to use banana's because he wanted to prove to himself that he could be as good as a diddy pro that uses bananas. Course a few minutes after posting on allisbrawl, everyone kept giving the same feedback: more naners. So now he's using bananas like crazy. Now I just need to learn how to counter against banana's. I've started spamming bombs like crazy to just get a hit on him because with the banana's, I can't land bairs or nairs, so I have to rely completely on projectiles, and occasionally land an uair or smash. Is this a good strategy against a banana-relying diddy?

Definitely a noble goal that your friend has, but Diddy seems to be the only character besides snake that can keep up INTENSE pressure, using bananas.

I've never played a completely banana-whoring diddy but I can't really understand why you cant land nairs or bairs. They come out on frame, like, three.

Sorry that I can't be of more help. I guess if he's too bad about it you can begin relying almost entirely on projectiles and throwing his own bananas back at him, but I don't know how well that would work out.

Alright, some advice for your TL would be, be more offensive!! lol.

When you hit him off the stage finish him off! Only dair when you know you are going to hit him. Also, I love how you used all of your projectiles, keep doing that! Another thing I think you need to improve on is to uair him in the air well he is up in the air, because that would be an excellent finisher.

Finally, your TL has a lot of potential! Keep on training. :)

I would rate your T Link a solid 5.5/10

My advice: Try to sweet spot the edge when you are recovering with your up B more.
I also noticed that you use your projectiles a little too much especially when your opponent was right in your face. One last thing is your constant use of smashes especially the F-smash makes you very predictable.

Learn your enemy?


I wouldn't start a battle with pulling out a bomb, I'd suggest getting a little closer and throwing a boomerang just to "trick" them, as the boomerang isn't supposed to actually hit (If it does, they're dumb).

Once you have the enemy in your air, you got them under your control for a second.
You can run a little back and get them with an arrow right before they fall,
Trap them in air so you can land a blow with the sword and they get hit with the boomerang, which can give you an option to combo them,
You can throw a bomb and then go crazy D-air or something,

Just try experimenting different techniques and combos.

more bairs
more arrows
dont double jump when ur gonna bomb, wai too predictable and punishable
definately be more agressive when hes off the ledge, specially since ditty's got notable lag on his airials, he cant afford too much off the ledge fighting... and definately distrupt his upB's
use a cooler color like red, lavander, or black, ffs dood

for the ditty:
MORE BANANERS
use a stratagy when ur approaching (like bananers perhaps)
not much thats exact, just practice alot more ><

tbh i only watched the first vid, but that was enough... i second both chars ^^... really really more bananers man, its so much of ditty's game, same sorta goes for tl w/ arrows and bairs... learn to arrow cancel its a great skill
