Well I have been playing my friend that mains both donkey kong and diddy kong I was able to beat donkey kong easily just by using Tl's proyectiles but unlike donkey kong diddy kong is lightweight and my friend is really good with him each time I try to use proyectiles he simply evades them by jumping and those annoying bananas without my proyectiles there is not much that I can do besides bair his diddy kong is too fast,by the way I am not a noob and my friend is really good.
