Toon Link Questions

Hi. I'm trying to find a new main after quitting Game and Watch. The thing with Game and Watch is that I didn't want a cheap, popular, skill-less character. This brings me to Toon Link. Can you please answer the following questions:

1) Is Toon Link "popular," and if so, how popular?

2) Is he considered "cheap?"

3) Does he have a large learning curve?

4) Where do you see him on the tier list?

1) his popularity has dropped quite a lot. he used to be very popular, if not THE most played character i ever saw. but now hes been overtaken by many characters.

2) people will always call TL cheap because he can spam projectiles like no other, and his fsmash is annoying when you cant spot-dodge it >_>

3) Everyone likes to say thier main has a steep learning curve, so dont expect unbiased answers from a TL main. TL however is extremely easy to play. hes quick, but not quick enough you cant control him properly, his moves are very fast, have decent range and his KO moves are so simple to land. hardly any start up time or lag on fsmash, usmash, dsmash, f-air.

4) id put him at 7-10th.

Go back to playing GaW. TL sucks a 2-D meat rod.

But seriosuly.

Toon Link forever and will always be a cheap character.
He has three projectiles, which you should use every single chance you get.

So at first your gunna be liek "omahG dat Dair rit Der is teh bombz" Then you will find out it's not nearly as good as it may seem.
Preety much like Ike. Easy to pick up but hot sauce to fire sauce to master.
Hes not that hard to learn. His timing is alot more important than other characters though. as he has virtually no AT's.

He dropping in popularity fast.(thank god) So I guess thats good.

As for position on the tier list. He will be at the top of the high tier. Depending on how they make the tier list. Pretty much hell be just short of the ultimo tourney material like MK,Falco,Snake,Rob, Gaw, and DDD.

1) Sure he's popular.

2) Unless all you do is camp and spam, no.

3) Not in my opinion...

4) He'll be middle tier...not any lower...
