Purposely not calling myself "newbie". I just want some tips in general for Toon Link, because I secondary him and I'm getting better with him every day. I still think I do some stuff wrong, so I would like some tips and hints in general. If this is too hard without a vid, I might make a vid.
I've read the guide, watched some vids and played some other good Toon Link's (Emo and Gaki, both are European). Perhaps I should just play someone here and ask for tips? :dizzy:
If this is a stupid thread, then hit me in the face with a Pikmin or something.

*slap in the face with a picmin* lol jk
Anyway, the main thing a TL main/secondary must know is RARing + Bair. This can flow into beautiful combos and really rack damage up. Good luck with TL.

Throw away your pride.
You WILL need to use your projectiles very much.
I lost many matches against Bowser and Ganondorf because I just didn't spam my projectiles. I was out-prioritized and out-powered every time. Once I just started adding more projectiles, I started winning matches.

short hop + Nair often. hits everyone in the face with the master sword and sends them way back, good for setting up projectile game

Add a quickdraw right after your shnair, as the timing fits in nicely.

We should play jarri im from europe too xD
Use bombs, thats all i would have to say
I'm not a very skilled Toon Link or Link for that matter, but hey, I'm a Bomb Tecker
Bombs always come in handy, I beat a few people thanks to them, the arrows I'd only use when distanced at least mid range so when you fire one it will delay the oppenent giving you a chance to hit.
Boomerang is a must, spam at mid range always aim it at where the foe is jumping or falling other wise it'll miss. once it hits, it immediately comes back. Also, ricocheting the boomerang does good too, its very useful because the 'rang' speeds up after contact for some reason
the spike, i'd say to use after being hit, quickly though so you wont speed toward the ground, if your going to spike off the stage then make sure youre close enough not to miss, and then eberything else will run pretty smoothly
I'd like to see a vid of how you fight, one with a cpu and one with human. not forcing you just requesting.
