Hey, Im not a bad toon link player (i dont really use RAR or SHDA but im still good). Anyway Im having problems getting the matches im having under 3 mins. The only matches I manage to get under 3 mins are the 3 stocking of noobs matches. Toon Link isnt built for fast killing, but im afraid thats what I need.

So does any one have any tips or anything on how I can get some KOs faster? Would be good also if there was some easy way to punish rollers/dodgers apart from trying to predict where they are rolling to, because 50/50 you are going to be wrong. I need something with a success rate of a bit more than half.

Take a risk and use Dair. or play less stock matches.

Use D-Smash.

Not sure I agree. My playstyle is to spam projectiles. There is no way I can speed up the instance of racking up the damage with the bombs and arrows.
Then after I get them high enough, I apporoach with my fair, nair, or a running up smash.
When I play marth, I can get a kill at 60% by landing a tippered fsmash.
No way with TL can I kill anyone before 90%.

I make it to 90% like HALF of the time.
Just stop spamming and take some risks.
Iv;e killed more people at less then 30% then most of my other kills.
It's all about being at the edge.
All it REALLY takes to kill some characters is one Dair and an edge grab.

or you can record your matches right off the television with a camera.

But why would i want to take the risk?
I will stay back for as long as I can, and if they move up then I hit them with a GTFO move and continue the spam.
If I can play save and win, what is the benifit of taking a risk?

Like smaci92 said use a camera or like a dvd recorded or something thats how most people record matches.

Spikes are too risky.
If you miss, you just look dumb.

craig use a SCART/RCA split you told me to get. play on the TV while your computer is recording the match through a RCA usb device.

You shouldn't unless you feel the situation is dire. Unless you're playing Metaknight or Sheik, or heck, even Sonic, playing aggressive, which also leads to taking risks is not playing smart.

However, Sasukebowser says that taking risk to kill opponents will make battles go faster (which is true). He did not take account whether or not it is a smart way to play, or a way to win as Toon Link. He merely presented an idea that answer's the topic creator's (TC's) thread on how to record a majority of matches via the Replay function.

But what would be the point in recording a match where you don't play how you should or want?
Point taken, and I understood what he tried to imply and obviously I didn't make myself clear.
Changing the playstyle in order to shorted a match is unreasonable, and kills the point in recording you playing. You aren't playing to win, but playing to make the match as fast as possible. But in the end, all you've recorded was how you would play if you needed to speed the game up, correct?
So in my opinion, the only way to speed the game up and keep the same results would be to change the stock from 3 to two.
Make 2 replays, then 1 rushed one.
Savvy?

You could always get dazzle. It's like $40-50 though. You also have to get cable splitters and have to have a computer next to the TV.

Are you serious? I got my dazzle for $90.
lameee.
Ehh well thats not the point.
But if you DO get a dazzle, You can just record it and cancel the recording if you dont like how it turned out.

Yeah, I got dazzle too.
Just Dazzle DVD recorder.
There is dazzle premium and other crap.
