We both just picked up these characters but we've moving along pretty nicely. Yes, I (andy) made that bowserbomb on 2nd stock go off the ledge to take away his lead, and I know the last stock blows. So basically look at the first stock >_> Lemme know what's up!

No one else is gonna say anything?... >_>
Fine. More Bair. ^_^
Ok seriously, try Zair -> Grab. It's bowser. He can't do anything.
And I must say, not bad. XD

I personally would say to utilize his projectiles more often. you need all the KOing power you can get, use these specials as an alternative to rack up damage before finishing them off. You did pretty well with your boomerang, and like sasukebowser says, try zairing, on big characters like boweser, it's like...cake. if you like cake....if not it's like.....pie...or...something.

where could I squeeze in any more projectiles?

Aim your bombs a bit better, and if I could SHDA I would do it every hour of the night and day. A bigger stage might be better...

Can someone actually give me advice on what to change about what I try to do as opposed to saying something like "aim bombs better?"

- You really gotta watch that spacing with some of the projectiles. Mid range is best. Also, some of the projectiles wouldn't work offline since people tend to powershield a lot, especially arrows. If they can predict or see what you're throwing, it's easy to avoid projectiles. Don't forget about retreating projectiles as well. Be a bit unpredictable with them.
- Use more bairs and utilts for combos. Bairs are too good not to be used.
- If you hit them with a projectile at mid range, you can usually follow up with a quick aerial (bair, nair, zair). Just play it smart.
- Zair is good against bowser.
- IMO, more bombs and arrow cancels.
Blue Shells Bowser doesn't seem to be as good yet, but I understand he just picked him up. He let you get away with some things.
AndyG is too good. Good things so far.

well if you don't want to hear "more bombs" I think the main part is to add in the Zairs.
Bair in my opinion is good and all, but I really like how you had more Nairs. I prefer nairs myself unless I find myself in the situation where my back is facing the opponent.
It really wasn't a very explorative video, since most of the action happened on the first life. I guess that's why there really isn't much to critique, I'd like to see more of your edge game.

"more bombs" is a fine piece of advice, because that has to do with decisions that I make. "aim bombs better and play on a smaller stage" isn't something I can take an ACT on. thank you very much quivo I can take all of that into practice. haven't thought much about zairs. (And yeah his bowser is beast tbh it was just that last stock that he got messed up on)

This isn't something that you can improve your Toon Link with specifically, but the mechanics of Bowser's forward special (his grab piledriver thing) go like this: it's a battle of the players' DI. Say Bowser grabs you and DIs left and you DI left as well, the pile drive animation will skew far left. But if you DI in opposite directions, your percentages will affect how much your DI influences the direction of the piledrive animation. So basically always DI toward the center of the stage. Just something to keep in mind vs. Bowser.
In terms of improving your Toon Link, others have already stated some of these, but:
Keeping a bomb in hand a lot of the time really gives you more options, especially if you can get it so that you can smash attack and zair with the bomb in hand.
Zair owns. You should Thechene's thread about it. It allows you setup for killing blows and damage racking. Also it outranges most moves. Also I don't think you used hookshot grab even once. I know that the move has terrible after-lag, but if you're careful and use it sparingly, you'll find that hookshot is a decent move that allows you to further vary your game and increase your options.
In terms of what you did well:
You didn't spam smash attacks until you needed them. A problem I see with a lot of Toon Links is to use the hyphen smash too often.
You used the arrow cancel often and effectively. It's a great disruptive move that can be followed up by SH nair at close range and more projectile storms from long.

Thanks for the rest of the stuff, it basically reinforced what I got from everyone else. But for this, trust me, I know. Notice how he was "on a roll" and 45% or so up on me. I took his piledriver off the stage on purpose so that we would be on even ground again and it would disrupt his flow. I actually TRY to get grabbed by bowser sometimes when I'm down like that, it's like a "comeback" button.

Your Toon Link is okay but the way your using projectiles alot tends to be unnecessary and left you wide open to bowser's attacks.
