I've a few ideas that I think will help us all get TL higher up on the lists.

1. Make videos for EVERY new idea that's discovered. If you can't do it yourself, get another member to assist. It seems we're already doing well with this.

2. Don't become video-dependent. Not everyone can watch vids; a large amount of people, like me, are on dialup and can't see. A description or instructions for the technique exhibited compliments a vid nicely.

3. Put all discoveries, techniques, uses for moves, glitches, etc. in one locale. I recommend the Wiki, but a backup that can't be screwed up by a spammer is also good.

4. Don't hold back just to have a trick up your sleeve. TL can't win tourneys now, anyway, what with the overpowered upper echelon of tiers. Help the rest of the TL players out, so we can all fare a little better.

5. If you have an idea, don't rely on others to test it. Try it out yourself. Then tell us.

6. If you can't think of new ATs, just gather basic statistics-type data that's useful. It's all going toward the same purpose.

These are my thoughts, anyway.

I have a better idea: take your TL to tournaments and learn how to win with him. Then tell everyone else on the board how you did it.

1-Yes. Videos rule.
2- The explanation should pretty much cover everything. Vids should be for a 100% grasp,to explain to n00bs, or if what your talking about just sounds ridiculous.
3-We have one of those. But it's never updated.
4-True. Very true.
5-Unless you can't do it.
6- We really need people to start doing that. I should. =/

I only recently got DSL, so I'll bite.

If you're going to make videos, try to split it up into parts if it's particularly long.

Like Sasuke, your edge tactics video would've been impossible to load as most dial-up connections auto-disconnect at around 3 hours or so. At least I think NetZero and AOL have done that.

Splitting it up is fine. You can upload a huge file so that when it gets downgraded to standard quality on Youtube, it's still viewable, which is ideal. ^^

The best way IMO to further ourselves as Toon Link mains (and that VietGeek guy who seconds him), is to learn the match-ups. This game is unfortunately all based on match-ups. While Melee was dependent on it too, Brawl makes it seem like half the battle to some is just making sure you can counterpick correctly.

The Lucario and Zelda threads aren't completed yet. I felt Soup and I did a disservice when we chose characters that are good, but not common enough to discuss thoroughly, so the progress has been slow.

^ We need to decide on counterpicks, what stage to ban, and general strategy (for Lucario) to end both.

Ohh okay.. >_>
Umm...
I'll just reupload everything later.
And lets just finish those now Viet.
Wanna start with Lucario or Zelda?

Jesiah should update his thing... to include counterpicks... you can also ask him to place your threads in the corresponding character section in his match up thread, then even more people will find your threads from it.
