I was playing some recreational matches against level seven CPUs on a couple of my custom stages, and I came across the weirdest thing...it happened twice, neither time by any intent on my part. Anyway, I was in the air trying to SHDA, but due to some strange timing, stick-work, or other factor, I turned around in midair and fired the arrow the other way. o.0

Is this a glitch, some AT I've never heard of, or something entirely new? It seems potentially useful...

I know what your talking about. I figured out this little "glitch" about 2-3 months ago and since then I havent seen anyone mention it. The way you do it is to jump, push B to use your arrow and immediately push your control stick in the opposite direction that your facing. NOTE: You must be MOVING IN A DIRECTION WHEN YOU JUMP or nothing special will happen. What should happen is that you jump and then turn around the other direction and slightly go higher in the air whilst shooting an arrow. This can also be done with your boomarang but not bombs :(

This can be performed with snakes grenades, nikita, Links arrows... pretty much anyone with a projectile.

It's not a glitch, it's you buffering a pivot.

That's how you do SH Bair to arrow cancel to the same direction of your swing.

Just wait like 7 minutes and make yourself something nice to see me at least take one stock off, then you'll see what it is. It's when you precisely time the arrow somewhere in between what you mentioned and a normal SHDA.

It was founded by BattleChrist. I loved to do it, but I don't camp too much anymore with arrows so I use it to show off my limited tech skill (you camp with SHDA, then when you see them approach, use the trick and do Bairs to get them off you).

When you're doing the turnaround SHDA, when do you press the opposite direction on the analog stick to turn you around? Before the second arrow? Or after? I can't seem to do it, I'm turning around but shooting the arrows in 2 different directions.

I think you guys are misunderstanding what the OP is saying. He's not saying that he turns around and shoots the arrow in the opposite direction when he lands on the floor. He's saying that he turns around mid-air. The turnaround SHDA isnt anything new ;P I also mentioned that this could be done with snake and other characters so its definetly not restricted to toon links arrows only.

Yeah, i do this kinda without thinking and never knew it was classed as an AT

Shame it can't be done with Zair though, Would be nice to combo in with a couple of RARing Bairs.

But yeah, its a good little mindgame if you're running away.
