Toon link gimp trick. Sorry if old.
If you can catch your opponent doing something stupid on the edge, you can knock them off with Toon Link's dair pushback by intentionally missing.

This often puts you out of the range of the move, pushes the move back, and if they go into fall special or have bad recovery, boom.

The startup to Bowser's firebreath often leaves him unable to stop fire before he is too low when pushed off.

DK's giant punch works, but only if you know they are on the very edge and can't grab it in time.

I once did this to MK's drill rush AND Tornado. Went into fall special and due to his momentum was too far out to recover. Jumped over the b move and immediatley daired and pow! Wind KO!

Great for Falcon punch, though he can wall jump recover if smart.

Anyone else? How about Kirby's stone? Airdodge to intentional miss?

Did some testing, and it works on Ike's quickdraw recovery or on edge. also works on eruption.

I've never tried this as a tactic, but it's happened accidentally once or twice. I think the pushback is greater if their damage is higher.

Haha, this thread just reminded me of my replay collection of CPUs failing within the first few moments of their matchs. Ness' recovery used as an attack but misses and falls to his death. Classic. Foxs side B off the stage and getting stuck underneath...

On topic; Wouldnt the after lag of a missed Dair make no difference anyway, or am i missing somthing?

You're missing something. :) Link's d-air has a pushback effect-the basis for the bomb slide. If an opponent is near you and executing one of the moves mentioned above by the ledge, simply d-air by their side and you will push them off the side-what makes this so hilarious is that some moves cannot be finished in time to recover after they fall. It's similar to a FLUDD effect.

2 more characters to add to your list, gojira-I just did this to my friend, but I'm not sure if it works 100%. You'll need to test it. Stupid friend #1 likes to use pk thunder with Ness to follow me in the air. I d-air'd next to him and he slid off the ledge in his fallspecial animation. xD The only problem with this is that I'm almost positive both Lucas and Ness have good enough aerial maneuverability to catch the edge again. Check it out-I have no means of doing this besides online. :(

That happenes to me too.
I have it in one of my combo vids of it happening to me. -_-

I knew about it with bomb sliding but never noticed it whilst playing against other characters. Sounds like fun haha i'll try it in training mode. Yes that is just an excuse to watch lucas fail.

Lol I did that once I was playing a Lucas and he was edgeguarding my with his Pk Thunder I did my dair right beside him he then he fell into his death :laugh:

I've done it somtimes aswell. I did it on a ness when it was trying to recover i tried lucas but it was a little harder since he's PK thunder turns better so i got the timeing wrong.
