Link is totally outclassed by TL

It's funny how TL puts the "real" Link to shame. Sure, Toon Link has shorter attack range, he's lighter, and his attacks may be less powerful. But he's so much faster.

I'm wondering who the hell plays Link when there's Toon Link available. Your thoughts?

My friend mains Link, while I second Toon Link. His Link can actually give me trouble, because he's gotten really good with Zairs, while I haven't. Plus, doesn't Link's Zair have a longer range than Toon Link's?

But Toon Link is just so much cooler, regardless of playstyle.

Adult link is more powerful because his playing style is supposed to be stationary compared to the quick and nimble toon link which imo can rake up more due to his speed but suffers due to his lack of weight. Preference is key but I like both.

I don't know about you guys, but Link's kills seem more situational than Toon Link's. I have an easier time killing people with TL than I do with Link.

Never realsied how bad Link was in Brawl till i unlocked TL.
The thing that disappointed me the most bout Link was they nerfed his Boomerang T_T
I would use Link if he just had better jumps and recovery >_< His attacks are pretty strong and can KO at quite low %
22% from his Dair ffs, nice. But overall TL is just better.

Ok, well, no offense because all of your OPINIONS are valid, but at the same time they are opinions, sry everyone lol. I main all Zelda characters, but when picking between Link and Toon Link i go with link just for the Originality and because i do better with harder hits and lower jumps then vice versa, sure TL can jump higher and run faster, but link can take more hits then TL, and speed really isnt a problem if u know how to dodge, so I'd say they r still equal, but still, depending on who I'm fighting, i change,

example:
if im fighting Ganondorf, then screw it im going TL
if im fighting kirby, Link fits me fine

Its so much easier to gimp Link's recovery. Thus negating his ability to survive long. Link's characteristics don't mix well together. I believe their survivability is even.
And I'll only play Link on certain stages where I wont get gimped so easily...
Bridge of Eldin, Green Greens, Castle Siege, and some other stages.

personally i think they both have their advantages (obviously)...but all in all, i think that Link's AT game is just ridiculous awesome, which makes guys like izaw so much fun to watch

I hate using Tink, I could never use him well at all, but link.....sorry man, but not everyone is like you, I personally don't care if the "majority" of people feel Tink is better, I DO better with Link, not Tink, so I stick with Link.

i don't spam d air, and beleave me, I use projectiles....I just don't like the feel of Tink as much as link....I konw people try to say Tink feels close enough to link, only better....but not to me....Link just feels better then tink, and feels easier for me

feelings aside Tlink is just better. if you feel link is better for you then go for Link, you should always pick who you like over just being good. Tlink is one of my secondaries, not just cause he's good, its just cause i like him. i like Link too its just my friend doesn't like when i pick Link cause i make him look good and he sucks at using him so i don't pick him so much.

I really like utilizing Link's projectiles.

To me they seem more powerful the TL but his boomerang is added in for other effects.

Although I dont use link much anymore, when i practiced with TL and then played link aganist some of my friends, it just felt like a huge handicap.

I really think its just his aerial DI, its heavenly

My friend also mains link and I dont recall him ever beating me, he isnt very good, Im rubbish with link but toon fits my playing style perfectly.

actually most of old link moveset is just plain better than tlink and is lightness don't save him to be cg by a ddd the reason we pick him his because his recovery his better than old link

Link should have been a tad faster, better jumps and recovery

TL should have less killing power in exchange for an ability to rack up damage easier

I don't like any playstyle of them, I seconded TL once, but Link is funner looks cooler too :)
