He does a good slide with it thats why he's calling it a glide toss.

It does help out TL's ground game, I mentioned it a while back and no one noticed.

JC Bomb throw foward and you can get to the guys shield pretty quick. Get a grab in while he's shielding the bomb =)

I've been using it a lot for a good while now. I think using the control stick to jump is easier and not awkward for the hands.

I remember I did it in a crew battle once and Sliq freaked out cause he thought it was so stupid that Toon Link could glide toss.

You can use the control stick. Just do like a semi circle with it. Or just push X/Y then A.


Thanks for spreading the word Hylian. Toon's ground game is what needs to be progressed more and JC throws help out a lot.

I tend not to use it when throwing forward cause I hit myself alot with the bomb blast, but I use it all the time when retreating or when I just throw the bomb up then do anything out that.

Example: Glide toss bomb up throw > grab > jab x2 > upthrow (bomb should hit) > sh > upair

Well the reason Hylian mentioned this is so other users start using it and get it down to where its not always luck that it works.

We just gotta keep playing and other things will come out from this...


ex: Forward JC throw into Nair =)

Sounds good Lobos. I'll try it out. And if they shield the initial bomb throw then the Nair can hit their shield again and catch the bomb. Niceee.

Then after you catch the bomb you can do a cancel arrow lag > throw the bomb > sh nair again lol

Honestly there is so many alternatives out of this.

If you can powershield the explosion then theres nothing stopping your enemy from powershielding it either and toon links grab takes a little while to come out, by the time it 'reaches' your enemy chances are they dodge. At least thats true for my little brother, he is the most insane blocker/dodger ever. I call it Speed Blocking :P

Your opponent cant powershield the explosion..because in order for it to explode it has to hit them. The opponent can shield the bomb and in that case you can nair or grab. and if they avoid the grab after they shield bomb, the bomb comes down and should hit you or him.

Another alternative to perform the JC throw (especially if you have tap jump off) is to use X/Y to jump and z + right/left on the control stick depending on which way you want to throw.
