Tier List Out Mid

I don't know if any of you have seen the tierlist (the official one), but they ranked toon link as the top of mid tier. http://www.smashboards.com/showthread.php?t=192028 . This is understandable as toon link's tournament results have been sketchy at best. However, I do not feel mid tier accurately shows what he is capable of in the future, so I would like to propose a challenge to the toon link community as a whole. Let's see if we can, through tourament results and new strategies, get him up to high tier the next time a tier list comes out. Any comments or people who are willing to try this?

I could see TL rise but it is good for now.

I'll go to tournaments as well soon but I play 6 characters(none of Top tier oddly enough) so I'm not representing just TL.

I must say that the tier list matchups are suprising.

But its also refreshing to see some new faces at high tier, although I'm not to fond of TL being only mid, I definately think he has more potential then people realise.

This is just my two cents anyways.

It actually seems about right, TL can most likely be higher on list maybe mid-low high tier.
From what I know not many people play/main TL on tourneys and place top 3.

I'm actually thinking about playing as him seeing how he has a really annoying projectile game.

Also it's b/c of Anther Pikachu is so high, also along with Chu dat's Kirby, Oversarm's ROB, and other ones that aren't really in my mind.

Roy_R's and NEO's Marth also keeps Marth up there.

Personally, with all the competition for top tier, I think if we at least beat out Wolf we can rest in peace. In all seriousness, Toon Link is a good character, but Diddy Kong and Marth do what Toon Link does better, except as two different entities.

Viet's right. IMO there's not much chance of him becoming top tier. I think if we can get him bumped to high tier, we will have done our job :)

**** I failed yet again placed 33rd at CH4, ah well I lost to good players both matches to the 3rd set to a kirby and zss. lol no other person there used TL besides Ninjalink and I did beat him in a ditto match.

25th out of 118

Lost to Gnes first round. (He got fifth)
That match went to three games, all one stock high percent. He played really patient and spaced very well.

Then I went to losers where I eventually played Stiltz. (Who got first)
He's soo good. He went Olimar against me. First match I won one stock high percent on Battlefield. Lost at Final one stock high percent. Then lost at Yoshi two stock.

Tough losses. Tough opponents.

But I'm happy that I lost to some really good players.

A really good olimar user is actually tough to beat, I lost my matches to both 9th placers but I did counter pick some bad stages for the characters I went against.

No one likes Brawl down here in Georgia except for money so we only have a monthly to go to. But at least it's a good one that's always worth it.

But Melee is REALLY popular down here. Oh, and so is Meta Knight and Dedede. <_<

Considering a tier list is made based on how characters are doing RIGHT NOW, instead of measuring future potential, this is what I expected from Toon Link.

Theorycraft won't make TL go higher up. Winning tournaments does.

Honestly I played MK and d3 so much that they aren't that it's usually a close match vs those characters. I have more trouble playing against those characters that have potential that no one uses.
