Alright thanks. What's invulnerability tips though? And I heard Tink gets murdered in close combat VS Olimar. I couldn't d-smash him at all. He shield-grabs me. :(

Playing against Olimar is all about camping and spacing aerials carefully. Olimar is a very predictable character, and from my experience this matchup becomes pretty easy once you get past an initial learning curve (although this matchup is pretty unwinnable if you're using Captain Falcon. =P).

Also, don't play him on FD if you can help it. Take him to battlefield. BF gives you more opportunities to juggle him and neutralize his camping and grab game.

Oh, and lastly, I'd suggest picking up G&W if you want a counterpick character. D-throw D-smash/F-smash is rape on Olimars who can't tech. Those who do tech can be regrabbed. B-air and D-tilt if used wisely are very difficult for Olimar to work around, and G&W's D-air beats Olimar's U-smash.

Most good olimar users would let themselves be 20% ko'd from ledge hogging, you're dsmash would'nt hit him that far of the edge, and olimar has a lot of tricks up his sleeve when it comes to recovery. But yeah, if your gonna ledgehog, make sure you have invincibility frames, if you dont, he'll just take you down with him/spike and grab the ledge (with purp/whites). Try to use a lot of bombs, could save you from grab combos.

The most frustrating thing about Olimar is his grab. Best tequnique i have found is spotdodge grab and follow up with Bairs or up throw followed by Uair at higher %. There is one Olimar doing really well at tounaments in Australia who wins almost by just spamming his throw and abusing the range on it, followed by Usmash then Uair.

Fast falling against Olimar is important, his Usmash is spammable and has high priority and there isn't much Toon can do if he get's below you, being he is also a short character fast falling is very important with your Nairs so you don't get shielded and cop an Usmash.

Fast falling really does help keep pressure on Olimar's and limits their approach. Watch out for him running and throwing though. If you can't dodge the initial grab on a stock you'll find yourself at 60% pretty quickly.

If you dsmash him by the ledge, there is no WAY he can come back. If you get unlucky and it doesn't him him that far and he can pikmin you off the ledge, go invincible.
