U-Air. D-Air. When you're doing them, you're virtually untouchable, unless your opponent has a longer weapon (Something like 2-3 chars). They both have incredible knockout power, and are fast. D-Air spikes, U-Air kills at low damage.

U-Smash. This attack is the fastest smash I have ever seen. Not even MK's are this fast! It hits relatively weak, but sets up for either a combo juggle at 0% or an u-air at higher damage.

I somehow have difficulty understanding how TL is middle tier on the tier listing. His aerials are insane (Even Meta Knight has difficulty with it!), and he lacks the crippling recovery of link. So what's not to like?

This isn't a rhetorical question; I'm very seriously trying to figure this one out. I have no idea whatsoever. I am somewhat new to competitive brawl (CT fitting), and I'm trying to figure this stuff out. So... why is TL so low?

Were you high when you wrote this? Honestly now.
Hes low because he doesn't have enough people to rep him at tournies.

I haven't been to one. =(

No rides. My parents won't take me.
Thats why I'm getting my license soon.
I can drive myself.
Then he'll go up on the tier list. <_<
Maybe.

High= metaphor/joke
anyways
aerial range and stuff. Metaknight IS fast.
Also spamming U smash is not recommended because it's the best kill move TL has. Although U tilt is an ok option, U smash is so much easier to use.
Dair spikes suck (*cough*airdodge!*cough*)

But ask someone more experienced than me to defend these concepts. I don't have anybody competitive around to play.

That said, yeah... There should be more pro TL players.

From what i gather, TL is in middle because pros and ppl in general dont use him in tournys, or they just dont win. (Tier List is influenced by tourny results...)

He can rack up damage pretty quick but can have a hard time killing.
Many times I find myself getting my opponent to 150%+ and even 200% B4 They get Ko'd by a Nair or Bair even... yes i kno, NOT GOOD :(
I guess its obvious when TL goes in for the kill, especially after spamming projectiles. His kill moves require a bit of mindgaming and are a bit situantional like Uair.
Usmash is amazing and TL best killing move, though you gotta save it, otherwise u may as well just use Utilt since they'll be about the same cuz of decay.

He has alot of good match ups, but has trouble against MK, which makes like 50% of the chars in tournaments XD( Watch Dojo's Mk ;D )

Lulz thats all I got. Feel free to correct me!

Hi everybody! (Been a while since I've posted, sorry).

Anyway, TL has disadvantages, as I talked about in the thread TLMarth linked... and as people have also said, ranks on the tier list are highly dependent on tournament results. I disagree with your analysis of MK's moveset in comparison to TL's, though -- MK's smashes are all pretty much as fast or faster than TL's U-Smash, with the advantage of not having as much vulnerable time afterwards, before your next attack can happen (usmash as fast as possible with TL, do it 5 times... then try with MK's Down-smash -- wider hitbox, much more rapid). MK's don't have that much trouble with TL's aerials, at least not in an in-person, tournament environment in my experience.

A lot of people complain about their character not being higher tier -- if you're able to win tournaments with them, consistantly, against other people who are known in the community (in-person, not online... no offense to onliners, some people can't make it to tournaments, I know), then that's how they'll rise in the ranks. I personally don't fret over TL's spot in the rankings -- at least when I beat someone with him, they have no right johning about characters (especially MK/Snake players). There are a lot of very experienced, very analytical minds behind the tiers -- they're not going to pay attentiont to argument, because they've balanced it already. If you would like to see TL higher, beat people with him in tournaments and develop his meta game -- that's all you can do, sorry.
